Meet Paola Luna. 

After immigrating from Mexico to the United States with her two teenage daughters, Paola faced the challenge of navigating a new country while overcoming a language barrier. Recognizing that English proficiency was essential to her personal and professional growth, she enrolled in Cengage’s workplace and career‑focused English learning program. As her confidence grew, so did her ability to connect with colleagues, contribute in the workplace, and expand her skills in her role as a food service worker—where she takes pride in serving students and learning about cuisines from different cultures. Today, Paola continues her learning journey with aspirations to advance into food service management, illustrating how accessible education can help learners build confidence, gain momentum, and make a meaningful impact in their communities.
