Learn English with TED Talks from National Geographic Learning Wins President’s Award from English-Speaking Union
BOSTON—January 2, 2019 — National Geographic Learning (NGL), a part of Cengage, today announced that Learn English with TED Talks has received the President’s Award for the use of New Technology in English Language Teaching from the English-Speaking Union (ESU).

Learn English with TED Talks is a video-based language learning app developed in partnership with TED for students enrolled in programs to learn English as a foreign language. It offers students the English learning support they need to understand popular TED Talks and express themselves confidently in English.
Designed to be used with any English course for young adults and adults, Learn English with TED Talks is accompanied by a classroom presentation tool and lesson plans. The app supports any English language curriculum and inspires learners to find their own voice in English.
The English-Speaking Union, which has celebrated high quality English language teaching resources since 1971, is a unique educational charity and membership organisation that operates in over 50 countries, dedicated to helping people realise their potential through giving them the skills and confidence in communication to articulate their ideas and share them with others.
