Cengage Statement on Landmark Supreme Court Decision Extending Federal Worker Protections to LGBTQ Americans

Cengage CEO Michael E. Hansen today issued the following statement about the Supreme Court’s Ruling on Federal Worker Protections for LGBTQ Americans:

“I profoundly support the U.S. Supreme Court’s landmark decision that extends worker protections for LGBTQ Americans. Although it seems somewhat implausible that in 2020 this issue was still up for debate, I am heartened the Court ruled once and for all that gay and transgender workers are protected under federal civil rights law.

“Discrimination of any kind is wrong and has no place in our society. At Cengage, we are dedicated to advancing inclusivity efforts within the company, and creating an environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.”
